Unfortunately you know they won't listen, they never do, they just have this forum topic so they can all point and laugh "Awww they don't like our changes, that is so funny!"

I won't object that ghost training isn't a cheaper way of training, but it isn't free training. It is however the ONLY reason why so many people I've run into have returned to the game. They come back and see that x level 5 has trained, feel more useful and stick around for a few months. This seems rather odd and like always the proof of such a _strong_ need for a change is stated from a lie.

I can't think of any other examples where people continue to benefit from something they've stopped paying for
Think...speak.
You're paying for a service. If you stop paying for said service, you stop receiving said service.
One day, when you pay an electricity bill, you'll realize that when you stop paying, you stop getting electricity. The electricity companies dont let you write whine threads either, sorry.
While true, what else are main selling points for EvE other than the ghost training, what seperates it from other MMOs?

Why do we bother to complain. Nobody is reading this thread.
You hit the nail on the head, exactly the point, they don't read, listen or change based on player desires, they only change based on their bottom line.
For a company that's built a pretty complex game based around consequences of choices, they sure have a hard time figuring out the consequences of their own development and customer service choices.
First time I agree with a Goon :P signed

Actually, it can. It's called 'the deleted post effect'. Half the times I've hit reply on a post, it started replying to a later post because they all shifted up. Heh. Nice try at damage control CCP, but unless you're willing to scrap this thread entirely and risk enraging thousands of already-on-edge subscribers even further, there's no way you can keep up with this thread.
Just wait, they will

Seriously, what's up with that?
Sorry, CCP didn't want any more opposition to that so they posted this, really it's all just a joke so everyone stops talking about the speed nerf, come next week they just say they were pulling our leg

The Time based skill training.

The lack of quest campers. The fact that its changing alot.
Which will stop changing now that half the playerbases accounts aren't going to be active at all.

Are you really that obtuse to think that most people joined EVE because they could just sit back and not play their character for months on end and their characters would all of a sudden be these UBER Pilots, then you are the one with the issue.
Most people play eve because they have fun on their main but in order to actually explore the content in the game faster than snails pace they have to get more than one account. CCP should be damn well happy that they get away with all but requiring you to have more than one account. People were ok with running more than one account since you could juggle it with timecards and clever skill training but this totally ****s over people, especially people who bought into power of two.
Ah got to it before I did, well said.

So since it took about 30 pages for the first CCP response, will the next be at 60 pages? Did they really not think this through and think...gee a lot of people are going to have questions, be angered, want to know the reasoning and proof for this decision. But instead we're going to post a lie, write it off as a "fairness" issue then when the shitstorm hits we'll have the devs handle it so they take the flak.
"unfairly affected by those few who have not" - OP
If it's such a small few that do this why so sudden after the collapse of the economy in Iceland do we see this, we all know the reasons why CCP, what ****es us all off is the lies, please man up and stop them. We're old enough to handle that the world isn't perfect and there are times when money is tight, don't **** us off further from an already pointless change to then make the reasons a lie. Yes in some strange sense it could be seen as "unfair" to characters who didn't utilize it, but that was their choice, therefore it isn't at all unfair they didn't use it, they just chose not to. Removing part one of what seperates you from other MMOs means part 2 is close, a removal of offline skill training and when that happens I'll say well I always knew.
It is a shame CCP and you really should look at the bigger picture of what this change will do. If you do have some evidence by a 3rd party research firm and not just some accountant that doesn't consider human factors in his/her calculations, show us! Please do not lie or cover the reason, show the proof, be truthful, is it that hard?

Dear players, due to recent financing issues related to national problems we had to decide to disable ghost training for a limited amount of time. Due to our local banks unable to give us the necessary loans to expand our network and hire more programmers to implement the features you people desire, we saw no other chance doing so.
But please be asured this is only a temporary change, as we will rethink our priority list and reward everyone of you with a great new feature in return to be implemented before christmas:
Skill queueing goes in effect with the next major patch in the second week of December, at the same time ghost training will be back available to everyone. However skill queueing will only work if you have an active subscription.
We sincelery hope you understand this decision as we are forced to refinance immediate investments necessary to implement new features that CSM has requested to see available soon, as much as improving our network, hardware and database concept to cope with lag on fleet battles.
Furthermore, we will bring back 30 day time codes sometime next year. We hope this is a good compromise for all of us and we are looking forward to your feedback to discuss this matter before it goes into effect sometime soon.
Best Regards CCP whoever
CCP, if you did like that, I would say thumbs up. But most likely my reply is:
-4 accounts. Epic fail!
Truth.
Signed.
Gogo powerrangers!
